A Very Private View
ABOUT
Historic and period buildings, unstaged interiors, and landscapes are my main interests. I love to photograph old buildings, inside and out, always trying to capture an enduring feeling of the past hand in hand with the present. Some properties are grand and imposing, others have seen better times and are waiting to be saved, some are lived in and some are empty, leaving just a hint of their occupants and their past life.
I am drawn by the emotional and human connections of the places we chose to live in, and I work with respect and sensitivity when photographing private houses. The images I create are intended to be lasting memories of long-loved family homes, of those who have lived there before, and of those who might now be gone. I hope that my photographs, and my new project: 'A Very Private View' will tell their story.
